Harrowsmith is a village in South Frontenac, in the county of Frontenac.

It is known as the gateway to the Canadian Shield. The trailhead just south of the village is located on both the K&P and Cataraqui trails.

The first sawmill in the region was opened in Harrowsmith in 1826, and the village became a centre for wood based production, including mills, tanneries, barrel and carriage factories that thrived until the latter part of the 19th Century.

Harrowsmith - Jeff Code Dance

1-5pm. Golden Links Hall, 4186 Colebrook Rd. $30pp, includes Roast Beef Dinner at 5pm. 50/50 draw, door prizes and cash bar. Advance tickets only and these can be purchased at the gas stations in Sydenham, Harrowsmith and Hartington. Cutoff date for tickets is Wednesday, March 18. 613-372-2410.
