House of Three is an architectural technology firm that produces BCIN-licensed, predesigned house plans, custom designs, and renovation blueprints. We create affordable, attractive, and code-compliant designs for residential homes, renovations, and rentals. Located just north of the historic limestone city of Kingston, Ontario, we work with clients from our local area and across all of Canada.

House of Three was originally started to help homeowners design custom new homes and renovations. And over the years, it has evolved into so much more. After a few years in business, we noticed one consistent concern from homeowners and builders alike: the serious lack of predesigned plans made for use in Canada.

Existing predesigned blueprint options weren’t practical for our winters and didn’t account for the difference in climate and weather patterns across Canada. Plans need to accommodate unique snow loads and wind resistance across different regions. Plus, the average Canadian home needs room for mechanical equipment like furnaces, hot water tanks, or AC systems.
